To connect with our seniors citizens in ways that meet their needs and draw upon their strengths.

ASANDC has had programs for seniors in the community almost since its inception. The agency is well connected to the seniors in the neighborhood. ASANDC has 100 active seniors that participate in our seniors program. Our seniors program addresses the need to keep seniors self-sufficient, active, independent, and healthy.

Our long term goals for seniors are to keep them active in the community, connected with their families, assistance with finding needed services, and bringing their wisdom and knowledge to our young people through intergenerational activities and events.

Senior Chore Service;  ASANDC started a new program in July for the seniors in our community. The Senior Chore Service is a free program funded through the Community Organization Partnership Program (COPP), to help seniors with repairs and chores around their house.

The primary goal of Got Voice? Got Power! (GVGP) is to educate, organize and mobilize the power of Ward One residents into a political voice that can be heard throughout the city of St. Paul, Ramsey County and the state of Minnesota. In pursuit of this goal GVGP has created greater visibility for the community through the hard work of staff, community leaders, volunteers and its Collaborative Advisory Committee. We engage community residents by organizing events where political leadership and the disenfranchised have the opportunity to talk face to face.

GVGP uses these opportunities to connect faces of legislative leaders to issues common citizens are concerned with and allow them the latitude to raise questions and pursue answers. GVGP creates opportunity upon opportunity where community members can state their concerns about issues that impact and impede their ability or desire to engage in the political process and vote.
